MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, MAY 2017
Dear Members,
The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. I have a few brief reminders as we all prepare for the end of the fourth quarter. The first is that the TAL Awards will be held on Monday, May 15th at 7:00 PM in the High School auditorium. This is a wonderful evening for our organization. Please make every effort to attend. Also, our annual Stuff-A-Bus will take place on Saturday, June 3rd at King Kullen in Lindenhurst from 10 AM-1 PM. This has traditionally been a very successful event that not only brings necessary food to the local food pantry, but also allows us to donate gift cards to local families in need. Please stop by to participate by donating food and/or purchasing a raffle ticket. Finally, there will be a general membership meeting on May 31st at 4:00 PM in the Middle School auditorium. Our NYSUT labor relations specialist, Sean Callahan, has been invited to attend the meeting. Mr. Callahan will be providing our membership with important information related to the numerous concerns of a New York State Constitutional Convention. He will also be available to answer any questions about the rights of members who are excessed. I look forward to seeing you all there.
