MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, MAY 2025

TAL has not endorsed a candidate in ten years.

We continually repeat this because throwing our hat in the ring for this election
cycle was not a decision we took lightly.

TAL, the Board, and administration have worked very hard over the past ten years
to establish a relationship of mutual respect, understanding the needs of the other
side and working toward reasonable resolutions on all issues.

The reason we are supporting Katie is that we believe in the journey to her
candidacy, borne out of volunteerism and community service, and we believe she is
truly the candidate who will help continue to elevate the Lindenhurst School
District. She is knowledgeable and supportive of the role of Public Education.

Although some may question our decision to support a candidate, we only wish we
could do more. We openly, honestly and proudly support Katie. These Board of
Education seats in Lindenhurst will dictate the direction of Lindenhurst’s
future. With Katie, we see a very bright future.

Most of us have spent our careers in Lindenhurst. Lindenhurst is as much a part of
who we are as our home district, and in many cases, even more so. We treat our
decision to support Katie as such.

We are proud to stand with Katie Belpanno.
