MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, JANUARY 2026

There are two types of people: those who see the check engine light on and
immediately schedule an appointment and those who see it come on and hope
that it magically resolves itself. Spoiler alert…it never resolves itself on its own.

Tier 6 members, the check engine light of your pension is on. We’re here telling
you that you have to get involved. Many of our Tier 4 cars are running just fine,
but we’re trying to fix your car and not enough of you are getting involved.

If NYSUT can get 10,000 members to Albany on March 8, our State union believes
that this Fix Tier 6 Rally can have a real impact on legislators to make real
change.
