MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, DECEMBER 2018
This year, we continued to face many challenges to our profession. As always, we met them with resolve, and continue to set an example for many locals across Long Island. Whether it be parent choice, the United States Supreme Court, APPR, or any other of the numerous challenges that we have faced, we can proudly say that we continue to prevail. This could never be accomplished without the tireless efforts of our TAL representatives, and the constant support of a strong and vigilant membership. All your efforts do not go unappreciated. Thank you.
On a local level, our working relationship with the Board of Education continues to remain strong. We will continue to work from a position of strength in order to create a positive environment for all stakeholders. We also continue to be in constant communication with the PTA. Thank you all for contributing. We have successfully achieved 100 percent membership once again.
I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season, and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
