MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, FEBRUARY 2019
At a recent NYSUT conference, several of us were reminded that although we have been very successful with many of the challenges that we have recently faced, it is imperative that we do not let our guard down. It is true that we were successful with our rejection of a New York State Constitutional Convention. It is also true that the Janus decision did not result in what our opponents had anticipated. Regardless, we must remain vigilant. Thank you for continuing to attend Lindenhurst Board of Education meetings, and please continue to report to us any concerns that need to be addressed. We will continue to make progress on a local level in order to preserve and defend the contractual rights of all members.
